Why this exists
India's gig workforce grew from roughly 7.7 million workers (FY21) to 12 million (FY25). The Economic Survey (Jan 2026) flagged thin-file credit access as one of the sector's unresolved problems — close to 40% of workers earn under ₹15,000 a month, with no financial cushion and no way to prove a stable income to a lender.
The gap
A Swiggy delivery partner, an Ola driver, and an Urban Company professional each earn from several apps at once, but no single record shows a lender the whole picture. Lenders end up building one-off underwriting integrations per platform. Workers own nothing portable.
This app (MVP)
Upload a screenshot or PDF of your earnings summary from any platform. It's read automatically (OCR), you check and correct the numbers, and it's added to your own income record — timestamped and hash-verified so a lender can confirm nothing was edited after the fact. Export it as a shareable PDF any time.
Where this is going: Account Aggregator (Phase 2)
Manual upload is the bootstrap, not the destination. The RBI-regulated Account Aggregator
(AA) framework lets a worker consent to share their bank statement data directly from their
bank to a lender-trusted app — no screenshots, no OCR guesswork, bank-attested. Phase 2
replaces the manual-upload step with an AA data pull that fills in the same earnings record
(see src/aa/connector.js for the integration plan), so every report you've
already generated stays valid and every future one gets stronger.
